How Calculations Are Checked

Core arithmetic is maintained in one shared calculation library. Pitch and rafter results use trigonometry; roof area uses the calculated pitch factor; material estimates use measured area, declared product coverage, edge lengths, and explicit waste inputs. Known reference cases—such as a 6:12 pitch equaling about 26.57 degrees with a 1.118 factor—are covered by automated regression tests.

When product coverage varies, the calculator exposes the input instead of claiming one package standard fits every brand. The quote-range tool likewise uses rates supplied by the user; it does not publish an invented national or regional price database.
